Upcoming conference: a future beyond world hunger and other crises

The Conference “A future beyond world hunger and other crises” will take place on Thursday 7th June from 1.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the room A1 E2 of the European Parliament.

The key speaker of the event will be the well-known Australian philanthropist, Philip Wollen. The conference will address the most pressing issues of our times and discuss means to mitigate these crises. The topics of the conference will be:

  • The world hunger crisis and the growing world population
  • Global warming
  • Destruction of ecosystems
  • The overuse of natural resources
  • The impact of meat production and consumption
  • Abuse and suffering of Animals
  • Solutions

The interactive format of the event will allow the audience and the speakers to engage in an open discussion and to develop not only solutions but also strategies to overcome societal and political resistance to change.

The conference will be hosted by Stefan Eck MEP (GUE/NGL, DE) and co-hosted by Eleonora Evi MEP  (EFDD, IT), Indrek Tarand MEP (Greens/EFA, EE), Jeppe Kofod MEP (S&D, DK) Georges Bach  MEP (EPP, LU) and Eurogroup for Animals represented by Elena Nalon.
