Jane Goodall, the famous primatologist and United Nations Peace Messenger will deliver a speech on 24 May 2011 at the European Parliament in Brussels for an exceptional Animal Welfare Intergroup session entitled “Reason for Hope. Linking welfare of people, animals and the environment.”

Dr. Goodall remains one of the most charismatic figures in highlighting the urgent need of action to preserve biodiversity and to foster a sustainable development. Her reasons for hope are based on the potential of the human brain to find new solutions to problems, on the indomitable human spirit to realize its dreams, on the resilience of nature and on the determination of young people to act for a “better“ world.
