Latest news on the Intergroup’s composition

The European Parliament Intergroup on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals is very pleased to welcome a new vice-president and 3 official members, strengthening in this way political support for animal welfare progress within the European Parliament.

The new appointed vice-president of the Intergroup is MEP Michele Striffler (EPP, France). Ms Striffler has been a strong supporter of animal welfare and has been an active member of the Intergroup since becoming an MEP, especially during the collecting of support signatures of other MEPs to the Written Declaration 26/2011 on dog population management in the EU.

The 3 new official members of the Intergroup are:

  • MEP Andrea Zanoni (ALDE, Italy)
  • MEP Mikael Gustaffsson (GUE/NGL, Sweden)
  • MEP Pavel Poc (S&D, Czech Republic)
The European Parliament Intergroup on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals wish all of them the very best in their new roles and look forward for their active participation in the activities of the Intergroup.
