Call for an end of whale hunting in the Faroe islands

grindadrapUnder the initiative of  Janusz Wojciechowski (ECR, PL) and Mark Demesmaeker (ECR, BE), the Animal Welfare Intergroup has sent a letter to Kaj Leo Johannesen, the Prime Minister of the Faroe Islands, to call  for an end of the“grindadráp”, the cruel tradition of whale hunting and  to stop the trial against all those conservationists who have lately tried to safe pods of whales from systematic slaughter. The letter refers  in particular to Alice Rusconi but also to many other people involved in saving whales in the Faroe Islands.
