Protecting Wildlife Through International Trade Policy

event wildlifeOn Wendesday 1 June, Pavel Poc, the Honorary President  of the Animal Welfare Intergroup, will host the event  “Protecting Wildlife Through International Trade Policy”.

It will take place from

 at the European Parliament  in Brussels

This event seeks to explore the opportunities that international trade policy offers for the protection of wildlife. With invited speakers from the European Commission, the office of the United States Trade Representative and leading international animal protection NGOs, this meeting will look at the inclusion of provisions relating to wildlife protection in recently concluded trade deals, such as the EU-Vietnam FTA and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), as well as the Transatlantic Trade & Investment Partnership (TTIP).

The event is organised by Humane Society International/Europe and World Animal Protection in collaboration with the MEPs for Wildlife group.
