On 29 September from 15.00 to 17.00 CEST, HSI/Europe and WWF EPO are organising this interesting event titled 'Achieving Coexistence with Large Carnivores'.
Hosted by MEPs Michal Wiezik (EEP/Slovakia) and Nicolae Ştefănuță (Renew Europe/Romania) the event seeks at exploring the various possible solutions and strategies that EU Member States have at their disposal to achieve long term coexistence with large carnivores for the benefit of people and wildlife conservation. It will look at the obstacles and challenges EU citizens - whether farmers, breeders, locals or hunters - face, which may prevent them from successfully coexisting with bears, wolves and other large carnivores.
The event targets MEPs, parliamentary advisers, representatives of both the European Commission and Member State attachés, various stakeholders from civil society, farmers and large carnivore’ experts, and media representatives.
